(Skokie, IL) -- April 21, 2011. Illinois House Deputy Majority Leader Lou Lang (D-Skokie) today said that strengthened provisions in his proposed medical marijuana legislation and enhanced cooperation from Republican House leadership have created "excellent" chances for the bill's passage in the next few weeks.
"The best prospects for passing this bill now now comes from the cooperation that we have from the other side of the aisle," said Lang.
it just happened to be a part of it. I mean come on ther were somany different drugs that were present. I am with with Mr Lang, Give the state a 3 year rule and see how it works. in other post Ive have said "IT is ok for you and your spouse to make love to each other, however I dont want to drive by your house with my family and see your actions being taking place on your front lawn" out of sight out of mind. WE have to start somewhere and I think 2012 is the place and time to do so
thanks me.

in case Im not making my self clear, I think that if a honest hard working tax paying citizen of the state of ILLINOIS wants to use cannabis for recreational use THen there should be no problem with it. But for those who disagree, look up the term crug, and it will show you that cigarettes fall under this catagory as well as cannabis.( and the last comment ment 6 plants vegatating ) Like I have said before resonsibility starts at home not in acourt room. Cannabis was not resonsible for the 60's

Not confuse the 10 gram rule ....meaning you can have 13 plants.... 6 flowering ....vegitating....1 mother plant.
honesty people if we cant control what is going on in our homes then yes the police should have the right to seize operation of the qualified adult of 21 who cannot perform the rules and regulation provided. I think this state is broke because we have allowed to much of our money to be wasted on non violent criminals such as cannabis users. RE-FORM, this is not the 30's or the 70's

This state is broke. And my proposed "HONESTY TAX" doesnt mean you have to go and tell eveyone " I USE CANNABIS" it just means that we would not have to lie about it when asked by athorities. As long as your not trying to run an underground back street pharma co, then there should be no problem. NO person should posess on them more than 10 grams at one time unless in transit to home if purchased from a dispensery. rule should be made and the state should regulate. resonsibility should be at home

It is happening everyday. People use cannabis on a daily basis without prescription and the only way this state profits of it , is by making you or your family member a criminal. There is a better way. Lets not fool ourselves any longer. I propose " THE HONESTY TAX" $250/year will allow you to have and use cannabis on a regular basis with out penalty. Sure if your out driving will using you should be treated just like a person on alcohol. But its a plant.

I do believe there is hope for this state with all of it regulations and slow choices. Our state is broke. WE have given all our jobs away, we over tax causing other major companies to build in other parts of the USA and out of the country. Open your eyes Illinois the way things used to be done are changing. People are scared to allow cannabis as a part of our lives because someone might do something stupid or drive a car while the effects of the cannabis is in there system. GUESS WHAT?

You say non-profit, but which one is it? because there are 2 types of non-profit organizations. I think home owners should be allowed to grow for personal useage and for being a caregiver. I do agree that if your going to try to make a business out of it , that the state should step in and regulate how the sales will be processed. With all due respect, you need a "common folk", and or everyday user to help with the passing of this bill. If this state doesnt want the revenue that is your business
