  • Kiva is GREAT - an outstanding idea. HOWEVER, the registration page at their web site is not encrypted, putting your password in clear text and creating a risk of identity theft to those who register. Please please please fix this Kiva, so that I and others can register and participate securely!!

  • I have become almost addicted to Kiva for several months. It is such a good idea, I have lent money to 10 people and look forward to watching their progress. This is the kind of idea that truly can bring change to the world.

  • Wow. this is the first I have seen this. and stumbled across it by links.

    Perfectly produced.

I'm interested to know who, literally which production company, produced and edited this piece. Music is perfect as well.

ALL in stark contrast to so many really well-intentioned projects, programs, and the media ABOUT those programs, which more often than not strikes a tone that is off-putting and, in some ways, selling "shame" as method to induce participation. vs TANGIBLE RESULTS without comment.

  • I am hooked on Kiva - what an awesome way to give a hand up to someone who wants to build their business, feed their family, send their children to school... and on ... and on... for the cost of a lunch out with hubby - no contest:) jan

  • ww w (dot)kivapodcast (dot)com

  • This is the stuff that changes the world. Imagine being poor in a third world country - being given some food or clothing only helps you for a limited time. this changes peoples lives

  • You are totally correct, globetrottr. I work in the Middle East on similar projects (but NOT associated with Kiva at all), and its almost impossible to convince folk to give full accounts of their stories and backgrounds. Often, its just not culturally appropriate to discuss help/aid etc.

  • Are there plans to integrate video's on the Kiva site to better tell the story of the entrepreneurs? I bet people would be more willing to lend that way.
