I was having a wonderful afternoon outdoors with my Carpet Python until...... I guess he needed to feel safe and secure to do what he did outdoors. LOL couldn't resist making this video, Chewy was just too cute.

  • I love the way chewy looks when he stretches his neck up to check out the surroundings :)!

  • @lololinguine Thank you !! Oddly enough he spends about ninety percent of his time standing when he's outdoors close to me or close to someone else. He's such a poser and loves the camera LOL Actually he is just a little bit spoiled :O) Even my young juvenile female Coastal Carpet, Jade is already doing this in the house and it's so darn funny because she loses her balance and tips over sometimes then looks at me like I did it to her.

  • thats humungas

  • @xXxbwelitexXx You know what really gets me? People don't think twice about getting in a car behind a steering wheel and driving and most accidents and deaths are caused by other drivers. And yet, people fear the bite from a reptile/ Sort of strange to me, but perhaps that's just me because I think people place their fears in things less likely to mame or kill than the most obvious of all things.

  • @1softkiss That's really sad to think of! I would think since her daughter is so involved and loving towards them she'd atleast open up. My next achievement is getting my grandma to pet my beardie lol. I tried getting her to last time and she ran up the stairs saying oh no he'd bite me, and then I kissed him on the nose and said see? he doesn't even care lol.

  • @xXxbwelitexXx Oh Yeah !!! Big Time. LOL I was raised down south and we had a concrete goldfish pond with a water fountain in the middle on an acre of land and it was surrounded by lily pads and always full of snakes. I went back home two summers ago and she wouldn't even watch my videos on my cell phone. I think it's just denial but as a child some boys hiding in the grass tossed a snake at her on her way home and it landed on her feet so she's always had that fear.

  • @1softkiss She's still afraid even after you raising these beautiful creatures?! Has she seen your videos lol? My mom pet blake for the first time today I had him out on my lap since she was scarred for life and spike(my original beardie) got lose one day and while she was sitting on the couch it climbed up the back and sat on her head lol she screamed for me to get it off. I told her to hold him today but he stood on her then ran to me lol. I believe the whole fear sensing theory.

  • @xXxbwelitexXx I've had more people come to my house that were terrified of snakes and now after watching me handle them their children own snakes and the parents actually have their own snakes and are doing a great job of raising them and educating other people. My Mother's great fear of snakes was how my love, passion and respect for them developed and to this day she doesn't even want to hear about them. LOL I really feel exposure is the best form of education there is for people with fears.

  • @xXxbwelitexXx I had to laugh when I read this comment because I know exactly what you mean about people being oblivious to how wonderful these animals really are. It's like beating your head against a brick wall trying to educate the ignorant most of the time. Even snakes will pout and turn their back on you and if you scold them they will retreat and hide their head in the corner. Now, how do people figure these animals have no bond nor don't respond is beyond me. 50 years of raising snakes !

  • @1softkiss but he's lovable none the less. He's also great around other people but only lets me hold him. He loves to lick he'll be siting in my palm and just licking at my fingers, reminds me of a chameleon. I just wish people were more open/casting away fears of these 'demons'. My grandma even loves him she won't touch him be she loves spoiling him with a pinky every month(she also has two oscars solely because she loves how ugly they are).
