  • i have a charging problem with my boat?? i replaced the alternator n checked the wiring i have voltage on the output at starter there is a fuse block on it i replaced it also it goes on charging post for starter if i bypass fuse block it works can i do this with out harming my alternator .. Thinking about replacing starter ??

  • Can you provide info freely about how one goes about supplanting a Delco CS130D 105 amp alt. in place of an old 60 amp 1G alt. There are many regulators available. I understand that the PLIS is for non-computer application. What is the truth about installing 560 ohm resistors, or diodes, etc? Funny how the newest Ford alts. have brush holders similar to the Delco.

  • @youdragon

nope as long as the 150 amp alternator is the same voltage as the 105 alternator it should work fine.

just make sure the belt can handle the extra power needed to spin the 150 amp alternator at full load.

and make sure the main power cables from your alternator to the battery can handle the extra load

  • if i put a 150 amp in place of my 105 amp alt will it kill my battery by over chargeing??? and if so hwo can i fix that? im putting about 520watts of off road lights onto my truck and need a alt that can handle it but those light wont always be on and i dont whant to damage my battery, any tips?

  • waauw cool

  • this not rebuilding this in how to install alt

  • My exhaust system is smoking up my banet coloring everything with blackness so how do i stop it myself? i need your help please and save money.
