You can clearly see the 2 explosions before you can hear them.

I personally didn't know about this. Generally in the middle of the battle you don't pay attention to details, and even if you wanted you might not hear much because there are explosions and gun fights all the time.

If you listen carefully you can also listen birds on 00:02 and 00:11, another thing that had escaped me until today.

I know I know, seagulls don't travel faster than sound waves, nor do swallows carry coconuts!

The reason why you see it before you hear it is because it's like lighting and thunder, you see lighting first and then you hear thunder afterwards. It's not the other way around where you hear seagulls and then you see them because that's called echolocation. amiright?

Light travels faster than sound, so you see before you hear. Yes, you are kind of right. Regarding your seagulls theory.. wtf?

We all agree about the difference in speed of sound and light, I think you didn't realise of the purpose of the video, it is to show that it is actually implemented in the game, which surprised me greatly.

Due to the silence you can actually hear some kind of birds, it is unclear if they're seagulls, African or European swallows.

He's talking about sonar pretty much. He's getting his point across in a really twisted, convoluted way, but that's what he's really trying to get through.

He doesn't literally mean you hear a seagull and then it magically appears in front of you. Think bats.

That is why is unclear ^^. We'd have to ask John Cleese to make sure, I'm pretty sure he knows a lot about swallows.

are African and EU swallows not the same, because they're migratory, thus living on both Continents at different times. aminotwrong?
