I can't believe James Van Der Beek and Eric Balfour (Milo from the Jack Bauer power hour) are actually going to shoot a movie in Grand Rapids. "The Fifth Mafia." Sounds exciting. Errr...

She thinks amendments 9 and 10 mean anything to those Federalists. And when you live in Western MI where it's "red country," you tend to hate your "blue team" Mayor, Jennifer Granholm. Like so many lawn signs say, "Wanna create jobs in MI: Fire Jennifer Granholm."

They all exist in Red Country, western MI. They don't have the population density of eastern MI, which is largely Democratic.

  • Woo hoo... James Van Der Beek was only good in Criminal Minds.

Everything else he did was... Well... I guess I can't fault him. I can't forget about Vanilla Ice. He said... Money talks. And it does, don't act like it doesn't.

That's why Ben Foster is the most underrated actor ever. We grow up with him in Flash Forward, then he plays Mars in Hostage, Prince in 3:10 to Yuma, Jake Bzurski or whatever in Alpha Dog... Whatever.

    :P (cont)

  • van der who??? :)

  • Your satire is PERFECT, Julie!

I look forward to your next video!

  • "The legislation" includes the Republican-controlled Senate. This legislation has been backed by Michigan Republicans and would not have passed without them - so I don't know how you can pawn it all off on Granholm and the democrats. Aren't tax breaks for corporations the wet dream of all conservatives?

  • excuse me... semi-pro was the one with Will Ferrell... I confused bad movies

  • Yeah, blame James Van Der Beek and Eric Balfour... you know cuz "Semi-Pro" with The Rock wasn't filmed in Flint for one week and made $1.5 million dollars for the economy.

  • haha. you're funny.

    but yay for eric balfour!

  • Juli, I thought you were all for tax breaks? The state isn't "paying" anyone to film here. They just passed legislation that gives film companies a 42% tax break for filming in Michigan. The result? Last year there were 8 proposals for filming in Michigan. This year there are already 86 proposals on the Michigan Film Boards' desk. I guess you don't want to see the state make money off of all the hotel, food, and entertainment expenditures of the film companies!

  • your pretty cute
