We have a national health service here in Canada too and while it is not perfect, it certainly beats not having health insurance. Without it people would die.

Wise words. I'm British and we have had a national health service for many years. It may not be perfect and there are certainly problems with it, but it is far preferable to the current US system of the have and the have nots. There is too much scare mongering at the moment stemming from the power of the insurance and drug companies. If people tried to dismantle the NHS in the UK there would be a revolution, and we still have the choice to go private if we wish...

Senator Sanders uses round ‘a bout language to point out why Congress won’t do what must be done, but he does spell out the truth. I’d like to simplify what Senator Sanders said is the problem.

HMOs must be abolished. Insurance racketeers are felons. The new health bill is nothing but a consolidation of power among the insurance arm of the mass murdering Debt Syndicate. Costs will be higher and quality will be FORCED to go down. Medical professionals under Hippocratic Oath and their customers must determine the distribution of resources, not a cabal of sick-O psychopath bureaucrats.

What President Obama should be doing, is telling any Democrat who opposes a public insurance option, that he will campaign against them in their next primary.
