Sorry about the jerky playback, y'all.

By the way, I too was involved in a car crash on Sepulveda Blvd while I was waiting at a light back in 2005. The LAPD sucked couldn't have been less helpful when my car was totaled and I watched the drunk teenagers driving a minivan escape on foot while on hold with the police for 15 minutes. They even got their van back from impound! I had to pay my deductible too. So once again we see in the city of Los Angeles (and probably many cities across the country), it's the victim of the crime who does the time, not the perpetrator. I know who did it, but I don't have the paperwork on me or I'd broadcast their address here! All I can do is share this case with you. OK, enough whining for me today. Enjoy!

  • He's not thick. He's foreign.

  • @MrCerebellum2 Actually the funny thing is, I bet he was born and raised here in the United States.

  • @chadisbad6 Then I suggest you call the cops on me. If you know someone is committing a crime and you don't report it, then you're an accessory to the crime.

  • i can't believe the defendant wore his mechanic attire to court! lol

  • I work on cars for a living. I'm an instructor at a Local Tech College, and i do side work at home, and I get a littl leary about what work I take on and for whom, because I know the liability I take on when I do. It is sad but MANY people who do work for "under the table" pay, and even shop owners are not aware of the amount of liability they assume when they accept a vehicle to do work on. I hope this is a lesson to anyone who wants to do this work.

  • @itsdanjones Actually, she awards the legal limit of the jurisdiction in which the litigants live. 3,000 to 5,000 is the general range of maximum judgements for small claims in the US.
