MHC 2 molecules do the same job of MHC class 1 but they are structurally different .. and their distribution is different too . class1 molecules are present on the surface of all nucleated cells(which include all cells of the body except erythrocytes) while MHC class2 are specifically present on the surface of antigen-presenting cells ( dendritic cells mainly , B cells, macrophages). incase of chronic infection class2 molecules may be present on the surface of endithelial cells
