WHAT? Nooooo! Zac Efron is so wrong for this role! He might look like Light/Kira I guess but he could never pull it off! The directors must do their best to find a good match for this role otherwise they will probably end up dissapointing Death Note fans! And trust me there are a lot of them out there and because this anime is so brilliant we have big expectations from the movie! Since Death Note is such a masterpiece I expect nothing less than perfection!

i think it's ok, i mean i don't care if zac plays as light/kira but i want all the characters to be in the story. i really didn't like the live actions movies because well i mean besides misa misa was not blond, a lot of characters were missing and the story was a lot different to the original.

I know people are pissed off that Zack Efron is gonna be in this but he's not a very bad actor. I mean yeah he was in some bad movies but c'mon.I'm not a fan of Zac Efron but yeah just give him a break...I just hope Miley Cyrus won't be Misa lol x)

Actually, Zach's likeness to Light is uncanny. And he's an excellent actor, even if he has played some crappy parts. I'm not worried.

Okay people, we all know we all seem not to like Zac. But, really dont jude him from High School Musical. Yes, we all think he is not fit. But, lets give this guy a chance. He may lure in people to watch Death Note. and maybe people will get DN more higher and popular. Lets all just look to the bright side
