Northampton BID Protest and Arrests

Students and community members protested the Business Improvement District (BID) yesterday, Friday March 13, 2009 in downtown Northampton, MA. Two students were unnecessarily arrested during the peaceful protest, marching down the streets of Northampton. Protest the BID, which would privatize parts of downtown Northampton and push homeless people and street musicians out of its streets. Support public streets and a diverse city. Get Involved. The police department and northampton in general isn't as liberal as you may think, this video shows us the old NOHO Vs the new NOHO! The old NOHO is basically agansit people like the homosexuals, homeless people, disabled, minorties, etc and the police shows us that side of NOHO! There are many people who would perfer NOHO to go back to the good old days and that's why i don't like NOHO as much as i used to! It's a great town but it has a lot of hidden problems that need to be exposed!
