04-17-09 Triplette Rd, Statesville, NC Overturned Vehicle into Power Lines

The pickup truck was carrying mulch when the driver lost control and hit a power pole and overturned. The truck had power lines on it, and Duke Power Co was requested to turn the power off before the driver could be gotten from the cab. The Duke Power Co worker made sure the lines were not live and cut the lines off the vehicle. The driver was able to crawl out of the vehicle without assistance. Units from Troutman Fire & Rescue, Wayside Fire, Iredell Rescue Squad, and Iredell County EMS were on the scene.
