This guy and his 16-weeks-pregnant wife went to a women's clinic in Brookline, Mass. for an abortion after discovering that their baby had a congenital deformity with no chance for survival. On their way in, they were confronted by images of dismembered fetuses and two women yelling, "You're killing your unborn baby!" Enraged, he decided to confront the protesters while his wife was in surgery, and he caught the whole interaction on his cellphone.

PS: I was thinking if I should dignify your really stupid argument "if it has a heartbeat it is a human being" with a response. I dont think any sane human being above the intellectual age of lets say 6 would take this serious. But since you think it's a serious counter to my "theres a lot more to being a person" riddle me this:

    -

If a working heartbeat defines if you are a human being or not, is it okay to kill a person with a pacemaker?

And you know why I wouldnt ask the government to force my personal decision in this highly complicated question as a law on every person - no matter their circumstances? Because this is wrong and morally bankrupt. Because I'm (as a reasonable human being) never sure to be 100% right, and this way people can individually decide after their moral feelings, not the governments. Because I'm not ignorant. Because this is a difficult matter of privacy.

And btw, even though I dont think this is any of your business, I would personally never be for an abortion, I'm a proud dad and so glad my daughter exists. Never in my life I would have ever told a woman pregnant with my kid to have an abortion, and I never will. And if she wants an abortion, I will try to talk her out of it. But thats my personal feeling. I would not dare to ask the government to issue a law that everybody is forced to decide like I would.

Shame on you for doing so. Shame on you for trying to utilize a sad part of the worlds history to push your political views. It just shows my assumption to be true: anti-abortionists arent about empathy for a human being with a beating heart, they are all about putting themselves over others, and trying to push their views on others. If it would be about empathy, the tactics using religiously charged phrasing or Nazi allusions would not take place.

So if you come and claim abortion is murder, and your first argument is "god", this just showes to me the lack of coherent actual arguments you have. You use polarizing phrases instead, god is just one example. You know the Hitler-reference doesnt help your case either, its just an insult to all the millions of millions Holocaust victims and WW2 deads and their families that you would put a monster like Hitler on a level with a person having an abortion.

  • @hollykharrison

I still might be wrong, other than people who have "faith" instead of intelligence I'm rarely 100% sure of such things, but to be honest chances are pretty slim, and I dont care if you think this is arrogant or ignorant or whatever. Its just how it is.

And I'm not just claiming stuff, studies have shown that the level of a persons IQ and the intensity a person is religiously involved are negativly correlated. In simple words: religious people tend to be stupid.

  • @hollykharrison

I am ignorant because I think I am smarter than you? Hm well, most people are probably ignorant in this regard then. Its hard to operate under the assumption to be wrong, and this accounts for me too.

But then again, I'm still confident to be right because I look for reason and logic as a foundation of my opinions, and not for some dogmata in ancient books written to drain money from some naive simpletons. So yes I think I'm smarter than you.

  • @Jonathanizer And don't question my intelligence because I have faith. I am intelligent enough to know that a heart beat indicates life, and a heart beat inside a developing HUMAN body indicates human life. I don't push my beliefs on others, I simply give my opinion and I will always protest hitleristic legalisms such as abortion because it's wrong. You are ignorant to think that you are smarter than me.
