Axl Rose Attacks! St. Louis Riot 1991

Axl Rose REALLY doesn't like to have his picture taken. This was proved in the St. Louis Concert in 1991. In the middle of the 15th song, Rocket Queen, Axl leaped into the audience, gave the victim some verbal venom, and got back up. Then he yelled "Thanks to the lame a*s security, I'm going home!" When he slammed the mic down, it sounded like a gunshot, which induced the riot. Hopefully age has mellowed Axl's attitude, but somehow I think this could happen again.

Guns N' Roses WAS a great band, Axl included. However, Axl single-handedly destroyed the band by forcing the other members to give up their equity stakes in the band. The great irony is that Slash, Duff, Matt Sorum, even Gilby Clarke have had successful careers since 1993 while the "New GNR" is a shadow of its former self. Axl is a great showman but extremely egotistical. If you really want to know why GNR broke up, read Slash's autobiography.
