I'm not concerned about it as a Canadian; I don't expect Canada to change much based on US changes. My concern is the world as a whole. I don't think it matters where you live if you're a humanitarian - you see the effect special interest groups have on other countries with a war machine in their back pocket. Paul wants to remove special interests and the war machine.

Hey I don't accept anything as irrefutable fact. I would not call drug resistance in bacteria proof of evolution. I wonder why if this bacteria can evolve to resistance why can't humans? To me this just proves that drug companies do not know enough about life.

Since i live with the proof of gravity everyday it would be silly for me to deny it.

As a person who has spent a great deal of time reading, contemplating, and studying several different sciences I find that often times theory cannot be proved or disproved.

Just because I "believe" something to be true does not absolutely make it so. Maybe one needs to establish ones beliefs and differentiate between belief and understanding a theory.

The THEORY of evolution is the explanatory framework for WHY populations change the way they do. It is a successful theory rather than just a hypothesis because it has continually made predictions that have been confirmed by repeated testing.

Of course, evolution is a fact as well. Evolution is the idea that populations change with time. That as an irrefutable fact that has been observed many times from the buildup of drug resistance in bacteria to speciation events both in nature and in laboratories.

Gravity is also "only a theory", do you want to deny that too? How about the theory of electricity? Atomic theory? Quantum theory? The theory of relativity?

Obviously you don't even know what the word theory means in a scientific context. That doesn't concern me since you're not going to be running a country but a presidential candidate such as Ron Paul however should know better.

He is a doctor which also qualifies him as a scientist.
