Jane Jacobs would have given Christine Quinn hell if she was alive for her street naming. Bloomberg, Quinn & many city council members w/ Amanda the people's Burden, mega millionaire socialite city planner put the developers before the people and pushed a reckless tsunami of community crushing development = mass displacement crushing the soul of this great city. It is a big shopping mall now with zone busting mirrored buildings reflected a history destroyed &communities not longer welcome.

Great to see Jane Jacobs talking! thankyou for this video. Very important and instructive. Towns are still like that or more destroied by developpers! need to make a big debate and to create popular mouvements to save our cities! (architect from Barcelona, Spain)
