Hey guys.

Back again attempting to emulate Bernard edwards style and timing, Attempted Le Freak, Although i am sure i got the lines right apart from some bum notes i really cant get his timing down! Its very unique.

Equipment wise i used a Yamaha BB5500 made in the 1980s, Japanese neck thru with 18volt Fender pre-amp, This is going into a marshall 3540 Bi-Amp with Bi-amp peavey cab.

  • made in japon???

  • You're too busy! You need to phrase with the singers. It's a groove not a copy exercise. As Carlos Santana said many years ago, less is more. Bernard would play the same lick over and over only adding subtle changes every 8-12 bars.

  • nice job mate!

  • nice job

  • Man that's some great playing i really like your style!! do you have a band >>?

  • no dude that totally wrong^^ you can have a bass with 4,5,6,7 and 8 strings but its most with 4 or 5 strings

  • A bass guitar is with 4 strings, isn't it?

  • you need to organize a better way of recording your bass covers as you do have the potential to be a hit on youtube

  • Hey man... very nice bass... nice sound... nice playing !

PS: I play "My forbidden lover" by Chic/Sledge, if you want to check it out.

Cheers mate and keep it up !

    Your timing is alright man
