Sanyo Xacti HD1010 testing wide angle and telephoto lenses

Just in case anybody has the same doubts that I had when looking for lenses.
Bought both lenses plus two filters from Ebay for $65 with shipping from Hong Kong.
Lenses are 0.45 Wide angle and 2.5 Telephoto and the camera was at 3 ft from the wall.

How good is the mic on this camcorder? Can it take loud sounds like if I was to go to a club & film a metal band?

Never had any problems with it but never tried anything fancy.

The camera has an input for mic and headphones. So if you decide to go  "all in" you can always get a nice mic and mount it on the top rail.

Nice test. I have recently purchased a wide angle and telephoto lense but when I zoom in the picture goes fuzzy? does this happen to you. I also have the HD1010. Cheers Martin

It happens sometimes in low light and when I zoom in too fast.

What I usually do is zoom out, wait for it to focus and then zoom in slowly.

This is the only bad thing about this camera... It is really hard to find lenses at Best Buy or Fry's.

Mine doesn't have a mount on it. I have to use the extension I bought years ago for my old Sony that screws into the tripod hole.
