Great song by Bobby Sands though Gordon Lightfoot didn't do the music. Bobby also penned a song called "McElhatten". I have seen the lyrics but haven't heard any sing it. Has anyone heard any version of it?

You are right about the music. I confused Gordon Lightfoot's "Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald"...if you want to to hear McElhatten, Check out Christy Moore's version on his album "Ride On" which is where I got this tune.

you're right about G.L., he used the tune for another song he did.
As for Bobby Sands, well you can if you want to...not my style.
