@clearwavefilms If you follow his career through the last 9 to ten years (you can see a lot of it here on youtube), you'll see him change companies alot. He's actually signed on with Brunswick again starting this season.

@clearwavefilms A free agent on the PBA tour is either: 1. Self-funded (he uses what he wins to enter into the next weeks tournament), or 2. Sponsored by a brand from outside bowling. Walter Ray was only sponsored by "Bayer" for a couple of years. In both cases, they use whatever equipment they like at the time. Either way free agents aren't sponsored by any bowling equipment manufacturer.

I was there. It sucks that they didn't show the little dance DeVaney did during the open match. You can actually see it at the beginning of the Don Johnson Buckeye State Championship during the opening to the telecast.
