JOHNNY GUITAR WATSON was simply the greatest 'natural' songwriter ,rapper and showman of all time!!!! It is a shame that your contribution to funk/soul/r&b/blues/rap music and greatness was never truly acknowledged by the music industry.I wish I had the opportunity of seeing you live. i had tears in my eyes when my big love johnny passed away. i have nearly all records of him, thank god that he died on stage instead of a fucked up hospital, this is every passionated musicians dream,
his sound ,talent and music was unic, we will never get something like this again.
Johnny hitting the keyboard made me goose bumbs all over. in his studio recordings he played every instrument by himself. what a big loss u r my friend Johnny RIP

got into JGW back in the 70's as a teenager, as I got older I found the blues and more about JGW, All I had was the funk but he his now up there with BB as my favourite blues man, gifted and talented and at the top for his genre of music.
