Your wrong! In fact we both are! :) I considered it a TR606 because the kick & SN sounds hard and flattened compared to a TR808. I just spoke to John Robie... It was a LIVE TR808 Processed by a NEVE console (BUILT IN CHANNEL COMPRESSION) which is what gave the the kick and snares a non 808 feel more like a TR606. Clearly your documented facts are not from the source! Thanks for the input as you inspired me to consult with the masters themselves!! thnx :)

Robie/Baker/Bambaata copied the beat from "Numbers" and the synth leads are from "Trans European Express" also by Kraftwerk:)

Either way...Genius :)

Electric Boogie/ Electro changed my life back then :) Nothing like it !!

In my opinion being inspire by a song dont make it a lifetime hit.. It wasent really numbers in my opinion was the dream team behind all this:Robie/Baker/Bambaata, this guys are legents in the hip hop community every song they touch became millions of dollars... If i get inspire by Litle wayne is not gonna make me rich,, Of course Kraftwerk played a big role by inspiring others,,
