This video footage was taken days after the successful mission to Baghdad to get food for the people of Baqubah. It demonstrates how one success can be used to leverage others and keep building forward momentum. It is part of the dispatch, Bread and a Circus Pt 2, published on Michael Yon's Online Magazine website (http://www.michaelyon-online.com/wp/bread-and-a-circus-part-ii-of-ii.htm) and is best viewed in that context.

  • Because the news is only interested in negative reporting "If it bleeds it leads"

  • For months I have wanted to see the US military not just helping with food. It is great to see that our military undertsnads the bigger picture. Now I can stop hoping the new training is working. Now I know the new traiing and tactics are being used and nothing could make me happier.

  • Agree with vidotrax ... this is the best reporting I have encountered ...the good, the bad, the ugly.

  • Hearing these words in this video brought tears to my eyes. Our troops are incredible and they are doing an outstanding job for us here at home and in the world. It will be so good to see the day the Iraqi people able to live free of terror and have happiness in their streets again.

    This is an incredible report.

Thank you for your truthful reporting Michael.

  • Great work, Mike. Thank you.

  • Inspiring work. If this is a microcosm of Iraq hopefully you're finally getting somewhere in that morass. My admiration for the American military has gone up a notch again (and I'm not American).

  • There is simply nothing like this coverage anywhere else! God bless you, Mr. Yon, and yes this war will end one day.
