You could have LASIK to set the dominant eye to 20/20, and a partial correction to -1.0 on the non-dominant eye. This way you would be able to still have good near vision during your 40's. But as you got older, you may prefer readers for small print or detailed close work. As you got older, you could decide to have a LASIK re-treatment, if you needed to boost your near vision.
I am 40 years olds now. My eye sight is short R200 L350. I starting to have reading problem when I wear the glasses. I am going to do the lasik and they give me two choice. One call monovision. My question is. If I do monovision now. My left dominent is for long and right sight is for reading -100. What if I were 45 or 50 years old. My right eye has change to -200. Will I have a problem of seeing. Please explain for me.
