I like to pretend the original series ended at episode 20. Well apart from the brief alternate universe bit which is made of win.

the ending was fine... if most people could manage to pay attention everyonce in a while it wouldent be soo bad, but what can you expect from the ADD generation.

Well whatever. If Anno can redeem this crap just one more time, and give the fans an ending that won't make them snarl and cry out like ravenous fiends, then I don't mind what he's doing, and I can wait.

i guess hes just squeezing all the money he can made with evangelion
its a shame cuz even if rebuild has tons of improvements its not evangelion anymore just because it looks good it doesnt mean its a piece of art

Now instead of angel 1 being Adam, 2 being Lilith, and 3 being Sachiel who attacted the city, we have a new lineup.
1 is Adam
2 is Lilith on the earth
3 is another Lilith like entity on the moon
4 is Sachiel who attacked the city
So we now will have 18 non-human angels, with angel 19 (not 18 as in the original) being humanity itself.

Watch Rebuild. SO what if it is a remake, it did it BETTER than the original in my opinion.
Look at all the images of the freaking gun turrets popping out of the ground. Look at Ramiel's upgrade, in that now he's got a dozen different configurations, each of which can shoot a big ass plasma cannon, which was more than enough to cause major ownage to Shinji's bio-mecha EVA Unit 01. Seriously, he has added A LOT in this remake. He even has added one more Angel.

The problem is that he isn't "adding" anything. He's simply telling it ALL OVER AGAIN. He's taking (as we speak) the scenes he's already shown, and he's REDOING THEM. This isn't an act of love. It is insanity. The guy has a serious problem. Anno has all the talent in the world as far as his ability to render objects and make them come alive, but he's wasting it on going over, and over, and over again with Evangelion. Why can't he just MOVE ON?
