One of the biggest thrills of my radio career was spending part of an afternoon with Jerry Goldsmith. I love the others -- Rozsa, Newman, Korngold, Waxman, Steiner -- but, thank God, we have Jerry's work. We love you, Jerry.

Goldsmith's Star Trek: First Contact is one of the most beautiful and sweeping scores I have ever heard. Breathtaking. Goldsmith was truly one of the greatest musical geniuses we have ever known.

A musical score has so much to do with the emotion of a film. Jerry Goldsmith had a real talent expressing himself through his work.

It brings a tear to my eye knowing he is no longer with us.
His music and therefore his very soul will live forever.
