A Block Party is a parade of FF/EMS/Rescue and Police equipment and vehicles. The party is "hosted" by a volunteer FD desiring to increase its visibility to the people it serves and to solicit donations to help support their budget. Surrounding FDs and other Emergency organizations contribute their time, equipment, and personnel in support of the host FD's effort. Block Parties are primarily a PA event. Hope this helps!
