Ross Pifer, the Director of the Penn State Agricultural Law Resource and Reference Center at the Dickinson School of Law, will address the myriad of legal aspects involved in deep gas drilling issues for those who choose to lease land, for neighbors and citizens who don't own land or gas rights but whose properties are leased for drilling, and for farmers, landowners, and citizens who may be impacted by the drilling in other ways. This workshop will review leasing information for those with leases, an overview of oil and gas law concepts, address surface owner issues, and share some recent case law.
