Considering the Yakima® Outdoorsman 300™? For about $100 more the Thule 422XT - Xsporter offers 150 pounds extra load capacity, five position height adjustablity, fits both compact and full sized trucks, fits Toyota Tacoma and Tundra bed track systems with XK adapter, rust free 6000 series aluminum construction, die-cast aluminum load stops, four Thule lock cylinders, high-grade stainless steel fasteners, box beam extrusion oval 71 inch load bars (carriers won't rotate on the bar!).

Here's a 2009 Toyota Tacoma Quad Cab with bed rail track system that
we installed a Thule 422XT Xsporter Truck Rack using the Thule XK1
Adapter Kit to attach into the bed rail tracks. The configuration is
the same for the two door regular cab and four door extended cab for
years ranging from 1996 all the way up to 2011. The Xsporter with the
XK1 Adapters has a 400 pound weight capacity and max cross bar spacing
of 42 inches.

Initially, the customer was considering a "split" rack system, meaning
they would have a single load bar on the truck's cab and use only half
of the XSporter on the bed. The goal was to have enough support to
carry kayaks and a 27 foot extension ladder which is 14 feet before it
is extended to working height. After determining that the Xsporter
would provide 42 inches of cross bar spacing from the front to rear
bar, it made better since to stick to a complete truck bed system and
not use a half roof rack.

This is preferable because 42 inches is ample support for a rigid 14
foot load and the XSporter offers 400 pound of capacity, whereas a
Thule Traverse single load bar would reduce the weight capacity to
just 150 pounds. Additionally, anytime a load spans from the cab to
the truck bed there can be stress and friction due to the separate
platforms on the vehicle's chassis that move independently.
