The year of 2011 has been the year of uprising worldwide. In September the US began its version of the Arab Spring and the epicenter for the movement was New York City. From there it spread nationwide, and countless chapters protested in their respective areas. Lucy Kafanov covered the protests coast to coast and she recaps the Occupy Wall Street movement.

I'm worried the U.S. & Israel will keep pushing for more war, particularly with Iran, and that the U.S. & Israel might fake another false-flag, inside-job phoney terror attack (like they did with 9/11!); but China and Russia have said that they'll stand with Iran, so the U.S. & Israel's constant provocations could lead to World War 3 and the end of life as we know it on this planet. Here's hoping for a peaceful new year!

  • @wolfengheist OWS propaganda? BNo, RT has been broadcasting the facts & accurate news about what had happened in all of the Occupy movements. Anybody who uses the words "propaganda" & "RT" in the same sentence still has their head in the sand. Because RT is one of the world's only news networks that almost never uses propaganda in it's news-stories.

Greed seems to be ingrained into us. So, perhaps just a cap or regulation to control the "runaway effect" of capitalism (I quote that because it's my own bullshit). There could be a state of continued existence of richer folk, but is it just and easy to defend that one makes billions while another struggles for sustenance?

Historically we note that everything is better on paper. What we saw played out wasn't the theory of communism as Marx proposed. I would like to see if there is scientific backing that we have alternative incentives besides money. There are many people who take low-paying jobs because it's the work they wish to do. Could we argue that these individuals had another incentive?

  • @wojovox Well it should be common knowledge now that it historically has never worked. It is just common sense that with no incentive, progress will slow. The technological boom that is defining our world today would not be at the same level if countries like the USA and Japan were communist as there would be no competition. In a nutshell, communism is fucking dumb.

    Great argument as to why.

  • @wojovox Yeah that sounds dumb.
