i know the music for the first maria clara dance is called galina ciega....meaning blind chicken, popular in the 1800's in manila, a playful game where the women danced around a man who is blind folded and playing a guitar. No stomping of the feet in the dance tho....

I've also seen it called Tacon because of the emphasis on the stomping of the feet.
