He's everywhere on the climate denial circuit.
He's not a scientist. He's a classics major and journalist.
How is it that he's been able to sell himself to climate deniers as their number one spokesman?
First, like any good salesman, Lord Monckton knows his customer.

To Pseudo and his following flock: Non-believers don’t have to prove anything. Skeptics are not asking the world for money or power. Believers need to explain their case, so let them do the talking. As long as the question you asked doesn’t get resolved, repeat it. You have to answer questions; You can't. There is no consensus; And you deflect, because you have no answers, no argument. You are a believer.Religion. Name 10 fakes in the petition? 30000 scientists. All idiots of course.

greenman3610, even if you think Monckton is a fraud. You still need to take a couple things into account. 1)How much can we change the warming trend? 2)how much money will it cost? Because many experts from 20 years ago made predictions on temp increase, that were not accurate for how it turned out. Also does it make more sense to try to change the temp, via carbon tax now, or would it make more sense to do nothing at all, but wait until something does happen in the future and then deal with it?

many predictions from 20 years ago were too conservative. Arctic ice and ice sheets are 50 to 100 years ahead of what we thought then.

Have you figured out the cost of moving our coastal cities or building sea walls around the entire coast? Who will pay for that - the free market?

Okay ill give you that. But, the bottom line is even if the US and Europe does start making huge changes in emissions via carbon taxes etc. It wont make any difference. Unless we can convince the Chinese and Indians to go along with it. At the rate China/India are making coal plants, transportation infrastructure, roads, cars etc. fat chance on doing that. In fact i read that China will pass the US in being the number 1 fossil fuel user in the next 15 years.

The chinese already passed us. But they have also instituted a carbon tax, and invested hundreds of billions to become the leaders in renewable energy manufacturing. They know this is critical to their leadership this century. I happen to believe it would be good if we in the US decided to lead in the new century the way we did in the last one - and we did that by investing in technology - highways, radar, jet engines, computer chips, the internet, GPS, space travel, and renewable energy.

pseudotruth. persistent evasion comes from you. You are not answering anything at all. Calling someone a liar is a big accusation. But because you are a blind religious believer, you have no idea how insulting you are. I answer in all my pieces with facts and numbers and arguments. You bring nothing to the table but a stupid pointles question and ad hominem insult, besides the subject. What would that solve? You insult, because you have no answer about the subject and no rebuttal to the facts.

What are you talking about. Chinese did not sign Kyoto, are number one polluters in the world, most co2 in atmosphere, refuse to pay carbon tax on airplanes (European companies do). I think they are right not to step in to the global warming hoax. But you take them as a shining example; Get your facts straight, before you talk nonsense.

Chinese have no Nobel price winners for example. Only peace and literature. The only Chinese Nobel price winners where working in the states and Britain. If this is your shining example? It's a factory. Nothing more.

A 20 cm sea rise every century. I think we can handle that problem. For 300 years, the sea has gone up with 20cm every century. Where is the problem? Besides this, if the north pole ice melts, the sea level will rise, 0 cm. Because law of archimedes. The real problem is overpopulation. From 1,5 billion to over 7 billion in a century. That's the problem. Not global warming.

In 2011, China dumped 21 Billion dollar of solar panels on the European market alone. They sell below any reasonable price. Therefore the EU has decided to impose a 47% import tax on those solar panels. Chinese don't give a shit about the planet. They pollute more and bring more co2 in the air then any other country in the world. It's all about the money, Greenman. They make no inventions and hold no patents. They reproduce what we invent in the west.

Renewable energy in China is 0,005% of what they need in total energy. They export there shit solar panels to gullible western idiots, who are trying to save the world. The world needs not to be saved. Solar energy and wind energy only exists because of state subsidies. Marxist ideology! Some multinationals make millions on this shit. They love green mans. China i Num1 in dead penalties? not human rights they don't care for the planet.

Stop changing the subject, answer my question! Persistent evasion is the sign of a liar. Are you a liar? That's question 2.

Question 1: Would you fly in a plane designed by a dentist, a veterinarian, or a geologist?
