as rivers go this is perhaps one of the las great rivers not to have been navigated... it drops over 1000 ft along a course of about 100km... so a lot of white water!
unfortunately the main danger is not the icy cold turbulent river... but the Pakistan & Indian armies that sit and oppose each other from the two banks.. anyone attempting to raft it will be shot... on the down side the waters may reduce considerably in the near future as India diverts the Kisanganga into the Jeelum for hydro
