On 11/19/2010 at approximately 0600 hours Communications dispatched a house fire on Elklick Road in Midland, MD. Engine 18, Squad 18, Tanker 18, Engine Rescue 20, Engine Tanker 19, and EMS 55 were dispatched on the call. Shortly after the initial call, the dispatch center upgraded to the working fire assignment. Engine 17, Engine 16, Engine Tanker 14, Engine Tanker 22 (RIT), Engine Rescue 2, Squad 16, and Tanker 36. Engine 181 arrived on the scene with a fully involved house fire and Chief 18 established the Elklick Road Command. The crews went into a defensive attack, pulling (2) 1 3/4 attack lines and (1) 2 1/2 attack line to the fire. ER 20 dropped a 5 inch supply from the hydrant at Rt 36 and Buskirk Hollow Road and supplied Engine 181. Additional crews pulled an additional 2 1/2 attack line to the "C" side of the house. Engine Tanker 22 arrived and established RIT on the "A" side of the house near Engine 181. Crews knocked down the bulk of the fire and then began an extensive overhaul operations. No one was home at the time of the fire and the State Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the cause of the fire. Crew cleared the scene after a couple hours.
That was my great uncle and aunts house they were at oc when this happen but they just had another one up in midland and there gone now love u aunt Kathy and uncle Joe rip
