Various shortwave stations heard in Philadelphia during the 1980s. Radio Beijing, China; CHU time signal station Ottawa, Canada; Radio Australia, Melbourne; KOL Israel Radio, Jerusalem; Radio Bràs International (Brazilian Radio), Time signal station YVTO Caracas, Venezuela.

  • Nice Video, i'm just now getting back into Shortwave Radio, I used to listen to it years ago. Now, i've got to start over again, i've got a 1940's Philco model, Knight Star Roamer, Realistic Dx-200, Heathkit Sw-717 and a Grundig Mini 300 WBR. 73's SSB-139L

  • Very nice. I used a Realistic DX-160 for many of this airchecks. I have later recordings that I also used a Realistic DX-440. I have a restored Hallicrafters SX-99 in my bedroom. But all the stations are going off the air. Radio Prague shuts down in two days!!

  • @AlvarezGalloso There are hundreds of stations, still broadcasting on shortwave! It's the main tool for reaching the audience in whole Africa, South Asia, Central and South America and the Pacific.
