I don't believe people were born at the wrong time or wrong place...we are the hands and feet that must give and go to the people...the candidates can only do so much. It's about us going and promising our lives...to give our lives away.
The literacy rate in the US is FAR higher than 67%. US government sources put it at 99%, and I'm sure they rounded down. The ravages of AIDS and poverty on the developing world are far more devestating to human life than anything we face on any kind of wide scale in the US.
Did you not basically say: hey tell me how you are going to fix all the problems in the US and the world in 10 easy steps? Don't think you will get an (honest) answer to THAT one.

before we cure AIDS and cancer, lets make sure that more than 67% of Americans can name there president or read a newspaper...
