We even have a strict liability area of law devoted to handling particular necessary industries that will inevitably cause damages even if no actual negligence occurred. It's in manufacturers' best interests to ensure their product is reasonably safe.

There were 33,963 car-related deaths in the U.S. in 2009 alone, far greater than vaccine deaths combined over the course of decades. Should we all stop driving cars? Or just maybe we can agree some activities are worth some mild risk?

Yes, companies have to keep on top of potential problems that could lead to their destruction. That's why you can contact virtually any manufacturing company in the world and ask to speak w/ their quality control dept or their complaint dept, etc. But no product is 100% safe, nor does any1 claim otherwise. That's an unrealistic expectation.
