@scottishrailways - you know that was the plan- I worked for "SNCF- Mission Eurostar- Direction:Nord Angleterre-Pays de Galle" in Manchester and we had a small office in Queen Street in the Kays Catalogue building as "Direction Ecosse" between 1994 & 1997. I used to work with my counterpart Tracey up there - sadly low cost airlines, the cost of running the sleeper (to make it break even return tickets in 1996 would have been £125 return to Brussel/Paris.) killed the idea.

My 92 should have been hauling sleepers from Glasgow to Europe by now- sadly Tory Politics and customs sealing rules made the project fall. Had they been allowed to take domestic traffic - an overnight service from Scotland and The North west to Ebbsfleet, Ashford, Lille and Paris would have been feasible.
along with a London- Frankfurt/Munich service.

Why is the sleeper hauled by a class 92. Its usually 90 hauled.

@Cazkumali it is nearly always ECS hauled from central to polmadie by a 92. when on an actual service tho it a 90

92 are deffinately the most under-rated and underused locos. Hopefully we'll be seeing more of them on the CTRL over the nest few years.
