Thank you for showing this clip. Finally found a film of my father first ship he served on HMS Echo h23 during the war until he got injured on Echo then afterward he got transferred to HMS Faulknor h62 till end of war then moved to HMS Vanguard.

This is first time I've ever heard an RN speaking tube in actual use! Also a very nice snippet of H15 "Esk", one of only two E-class ships fitted as minelayers. Her starboard minelaying pod is clearly visible at the stern.

My granddad was a gunner aboard HMS Lightning (G55). Never thought Id see actual footage of her, even if its only a few seconds. Thanks for putting it up!
