Flaviana Matata was born in 1985. She won Miss Tanzania Universe in 2007 and went on to represent Tanzania in Miss Universe pageant 2007 in Mexico, the same year where she placed in the Top10 and took 6th place after evening gown. Flaviana Matata was the first contestant from Tanzania to go to Miss Universe. Flaviana Matata was also the first Miss Universe contestant who competed with a shaved head. Flaviana Matata remains popular not just because of her natural beauty and infectious charm, but also because she is a nice person. Flaviana Matata now works in South Africa for the ICE MODELS agency ( http://www.icemodels.co.za ).
