So you’re saying that Judy Garland DIDN’T, (immediately following this performance), say to her director, “I sug yuh deek fo’ uh nickuh.” Because I can tell you that I’ve heard from several reliable sources that Garland DID say to her director, shortly after conclusion of this scene, “I sug yuh deek fo’ uh nickuh.”

I'm African American and Judy Garland is (or was) my favorite actress of all time. Idk if I should be mad because this was a stereotype of black people at the time or if I should be sad because (as all of her fans know) she was on serious drugs most of her life and she was forced to do things she didn't want to do to "make it in Hollywood". Nevertheless Judy is was a great actress, I just need to do more research on this before I make any judgement on her character or integrity.
