MIRADA,RUSSIAN SAILORS DANCE, MALAGUENA, BATTLE HYMN OF THE REPUBLIC.THIS WAS AT HAVELOCK HIGH SCHOOL BAND DAY. WE ARE "THE BAND" WITH OUR RED, WHITE, AND BLUE BUS CONVOY.. COMING TO DO THE DOG ON YOU! UNDER THE DIRECTION OF MAT BOTTOMS..

did you check out the jazz band? it is under west carteret hight school jazz band 1986... i played alto.. next to the end on the right... boy those were the days!

im glad i got to see what the old patriots really were...amazing im a marching patriot and am i junior now. the past couple years have been good and this year is kind of sketchy but seeing this makes me want to work even harder i think that the band needs to watch this so they understand that this organization is everything they say it is thanks for this

we were the best back then.. before a bunch of band parents built the sets, electric instruments,etc.. these were the days of marching practice in weeds up to your knees for hours on end swatting at the gnats and sweating your butt off... but we were all a family. just ask anyone about the "bottoms era band kids" we were THE BAND.. feel free to show it to your band of today.. its nice to hear that we still instill in others the strive for excellence that mr. bottoms instilled in us!

Oh..... My.... God........ WCHS was alot different back then.... I'm a freshmen in the marching band. I'm surprised at how much just the uniform alone has changed!

I tell you all compared to todays marching band we outdo them big time better sound i believe

besides we were all like family back then everyone stook to each other that is what made us do good we did team work back then i remember them days alot sometimes i wish i can relive them take care all

@CARRIETANZACKMOM no need to change it how have you been remember when i was top salesman yea i like to bragg on that during the fruit sales time my dad passed away last december and mom is got lymphoma cancer so i can use my old band family to stick behind me during these times

Sandy- I was mislead a little at first by the title. This was actually performed in '85, marching season of your sr. year, 85-86. The '86 show was the Bond themes. Just adding clarification for future viewers. :)

This show was the year before I got there. I saw this show more than once and it still gives me goose bumps. I will never forget the times that I had as a Marching Patriot, both good and bad. Those were truly the days..

no.. that was sammy gibson in the beginning and timmie raynor during battle hymn. i remember you i think.. im sandy purifoy.. piccolo player.. i was a sr. in 1986.. mr bottoms is principal at croatan high school near morehead, and mr. pettit is retired living in morehead. dont know about kim tootle.. havent heard anything about her... glad you got to see the videos.. check out the jazz band ones under west carteret high school jazz band 1986... nice to hear from you!

great memories! I played trombone. Was that Timmie Raynor on the sax in the beginning? Whatever happened to Matt Bottoms, Alan Petit and Kim Tootle? She was fun as band leader.

Funny you should mention this years show. We've been working on getting it ready to post for a while. Just uploaded it a few hours ago. Still working on last years.

They did well at BOA Orlando this season with a place in the finals! Haven't done that in a long while. Thanks for the support!

thanks.. i always follow the marching patriots.. i was in the bottoms era 1986.. sure wish you guys would post some videos from last year and this year.. i dont get home too often to see you guys.. i did join boa so i could see you in indy last year. i only live 3 hrs from indy but didnt want to drive there! good luck this year!~
