  • Great price for all that power but NO CHORUS EFFECT. Roland makes the best chorus in the industry and did not put it on the Gaia. Maybe we will see it on the Super Gaia GT model in the future.

  • @mattsynth Matt there's totally chorus on the Gaia. It's in the Pitch Shifter part of the effects. OK, so you have different distortions, phasers, flangers, chorus, pitch shifter, delay, tap delay and reverb with different types, then low boost.

  • me to i'm bald , maybe too much chemical in the shampoo now n these days or it genetic that;s why i listened to trance techno :))))))))))))))))

  • the guy beside richard is a redskin

  • @cromlek Calling Richard Devine a nerd would be an insult to the nerd community. Seriously, put down the synth and go on a date already.

  • his voice is too weak.

  • @Slashe50 I know that the andromeda is a full analogue, that's why I think it is the best polysynth ever built.

  • @mattsynth Yeah, they put flanger, phaser, pitch shift, lots of FX and plenty of room for it, but no.... It's possibly a deal breaker for me, that and 37-keys. I have a feeling they might be saving for v2 in the future to give people a reason to sell their v1's and pay for something new - who knows. I WOULD like to know if any pedal choruses are known to sound like a Juno's chorus, though. Any ideas, anyone?

  • @edgehog76 yes, i know what u mean. there's a bit of pitch lfo happening in his voice with some ring mod added

  • @dudewhosaysarrh The A6 was actual analog though, I don't think it should be compared with a $600 VA.

  • @MarctheDarc Well the sh 201 has an overdrive but its not very good ;) As to the oscillators and filters - at least to my ears they sound quite different. I currently have both machines in my studio, both hooked up to the same monitor system and I definitely hear a difference. When you take a simple sawtooth wave on one oscillator and set the filters to bypass you'll notice, that the SH201 sounds a little more hollow, the GAIA has a thicker sound and the filters behave differently

  • @dudewhosaysarrh Ofc the Gaia beats the SH-201 in distortion as the Gaia has a distortion-effect and the 201 doesnt. But both oscillator and filter algorithms are the exact same, except the Gaia doesnt have the Feedback Oscillator, but "instead" they have added variations over the original algorithms which the SH-201 doesnt have. There's also changes in the LFO-structure that gives rise to differences, as well as the 2x2 vs 3 OSC-structure and the Gaias effects. But basicly they sound the same.
