this is that creepy looping song used in The Strangers, just skip to 3:02 to the part that was used in the strangers (she says "quicksilver girl")
My First Lover by Gillian Welch,
other songs in the movie are:
sprout and the bean by Joanne Newsom
Mama tried by Merle Haggard and
at the window sad and lonely by Billy brag and Wilco

  • this is scary, i mean just think, it's 4 oclock in the morning and you are living in a isolated area and this what's happaning!!!!! and all of those songs in the movie , the director knows how to scare

  • sure does, haha, just having this song playing over and over again on that record player was scary

  • This is one of my favourite scenes in the whole movie when the Man in the Mask is sneaking up behind Mike. I just wonder if Mike didn't walk in front of the door and get killed, would the Man in the Mask have gotten his head blown off instead? Or was he aware that the victims were waiting to shot him and that's why he allowed Mike to go in front of him?

  • hmmm, i thought that the man in the mask probably knew he was gonna get shot when he walked in the room, otherwise im pretty sure he would have killed him right away...im not sure, but the man in the mask was probably walking behind him because maybe he wanted to see if they were in that room (or maybe it was just 4 a scary effect, lol) very good movie though, i keep hearing rumors that they are makin a 2nd one...that would be sweet!

  • When I saw this movie, I noticed the clock in the background said 4 o'clock, and I couldn't believe it! I thought either it was a mistake or it was gonna be a short movie. You know, because usually they're stuck somewhere all night and they have to wait until morning, so we have 6 - 8 hours compacted into 1½ - 2 hours. So, you figure sunrise is at 6 or 7? So that means almost every minute was in it. Like you were living it with them.

  • this isnt that scary like this song... ''Merle Haggard - Mama Tried ''' 'fucking song made the movie scary as fuck T_T

  • lovely! :D

  • I just keep hitting 5 on my keyboard and freaking myself out

  • Funny how the words quicksilver girl could be so scary :(

  • the end of the movie was extremely disturbing

  • I love the song, but I'm trying to understand why people think the movie was scary ._. That movie was seriously not at all scary. Not one bit. Although, it did show how incredibly smart killers can be. :b

  • @BlackFalcon127 i don't think he was to worried about getting shot i think he did know they had a gun but he didn't know what room they were in and if mike didn't get shot by the end of the hall he would have just killed him. but i don't think he would have killed them right then and there i think the masked people were fucking with them for the fun of it.

  • @simplicitylost yea thats one of the things i love about the about the movie....set in real time length
