I must say though, emissions from spent gasoline also include Nitrogen Oxide which hampers plant growth (by inactivating rubisco, a major enzyme involved in carbon dioxide fixation and photosynthesis in plants) and will eventually oxidize into Nitric Acid...if added to the worlds industrial emissions of Sulfur Dioxide it then reacts with H20 molecules & you get acid rain (plant damaging).
