This video has been extremely helpful. i was under the quite depressing impression that one was unable to adjust action on an ovation. This brightened my day quite a bit!

Hi,
Can you help me, please? I've got low action on my Ovation Elite TX 2078 (string buzz of different value) on 1st and 6th strings 11th to 15th frets, and I doubt I can find original shims in Russia, so what can I make it of? What should do the job better?
Thanks

Hi
I have the same model but an Applause by Ovation. Is it the same approach as with the Ovation?

Hi , can you please show us how to add the shims in the last end of the video ? I have a ovation guitar with the thinner pickups & i dont know how the shims looks like for the thinner pickups .. Even i dont know how to add the shims for the thinner pickups . A video on this would be helpful to us. Thanks in advance.

I have removed shims and the action does not seem any different please HELP

Thanks for this video.
On a related note to a previous posted comment, I am actually interested in the Elite TX DS778TX Baritone but can't find a local dealer who has it in stock.
It would be cool if Ovation could make a demo video of someone actually playing the instrument instead of someone holding it in front of a camera at a show and saying, "Check it out!" Thanks in advance.
@kumarramesh46 and @NielsonMichael there is no difference in procedure for the Applause and Ovation thinline pickup.

@mrskint55 not sure how there would be no change in action height if you've removed shims??? Do you mean that the action is still too high?

Ah the elusive DS! They should be in stock. Not sure where you are so it's hard to send you to the right dealer.

Again thank you. By the way, the DS is by far one of my favorites.

We are so glad to get your feedback. Thank you for playing Ovation.

Adding or subtracting these shims under your pickup will raise or lower your action.
