1 meter is fine. If its a male it may take a bit longer.

Also depends on your feeding schedule and all his heat and humidity requirements are met

I dont want to overfeed either.

I barely started feeding him LARGE rats.

and he tooked on it perfectly.

Hopefully that helps alot.

Ima feed him two large rats this weekend.
