Recorded in 1996 and edited from three locations, this is the beginning of the Hunchback of Notre Dame stage show at what was formerly known as the Disney-MGM Studios. Here, we are introduced to the origins of Quasimodo as retold by gypsy storyteller, Clopin, with the help of some creatively designed puppets.

  • this ... was quite epic actually

  • Disney can do no wrong. I'm so sorry this is when I "grew out of" Disneyland stage shows. I used to watch the Beauty and the Beast one EVERY SINGLE time I went to Disneyland. My parents probably hated me for wasting their time...

  • Used to go to this every few weeks when I was younger...omg...this brings back SO many memories...

  • turd baby

  • The guy who plays clopin does an EXCELLENT job! There aren't many people who can sing that song perfectly

  • The transition from the puppets to the live actors as the mother collapses to the ground is flawless.

  • if this show was still going i would go and film only clopin my camera would follow him around

  • the people playing clopin and quasi were finaminal they were just like the characters in the movie the show will be missed

  • I'll never forget this show when i went to Disney!! I loved and always will love every minute of it! Ahh, to be young again! :'(

  • @XxSora145xX Theme park crowds are notorious for being lazy audiences. I worked at both Disney and Universal for many years and I can tell you, we gave each show everything we had... and frankly, the audiences always sucked. There's just too much going on in the parks to be able to hold their attention for more than a couple of minutes.
