  • @fsmdidit The point is to hold the rapist accountable for their action instead of reasoning on how it is the survivor's fault the rape happened.

  • Thanks ShoShannah! I am a Deaf Woman myself... and although yes I do identify myself as Deaf first... I do have to recognize that I am a woman foremost. It is hard to convince yourself that it is "not the victims fault", especially when you are the victim. There needs to be more people like you reminding us that it is not our fault. Thanks!

Except there was no assertion. That's the point. The video focuses on the primary victims of rape but that doesn't mean men aren't ever raped. You can't address them the same. Do men worry about wearing "fuck me shoes?" I mean, c'mon. This is not difficult stuff. It would be irresponsible to address the issues pertaining to each gender victimized by rape in one video. Even if the flaw was legit, I wasn't the one calling a deaf chick a "retard" first.

  • @Schatje79 To your examples; if they assert that they believe only blacks or men resptecively are victims then yes, it's exclusatory for no good reason. And no, the fact that majority of rapes are against women, and having a target audience of women, are not good reasons for redefining rape. There were huge legal problems prior to the 1970s precisely because lawmakers had so specifically defined the crime. Why insult people for pointing out a legitimate flaw in the presentation?

  • @JJAB91

It's called common sense and not extrapolating meaning that isn't there. If a black guy says he's scared to be singled out for police harassment, is he implying somehow that white people aren't? Of course not. If a man says he's afraid to be jumped and beat up, is he implying women aren't? No. The point is, women are shown far more to be raped, blamed for it, etc. So, that's who she happens to be addressing. Anyone who doesn't get this probably shouldn't breed.

  • @Schatje79 "Rape is a crime against women" how is that accurate? How? Is rape not a crime against men? Can a man not be raped?

  • While I understand her point, it's irresponsible to say that rape is something that only happens to women. This is why men who are raped under-report their crimes to a higher degree than women do - they are made to believe that it isn't really rape because rape is something that can only happen to a woman. I really wish more people would openly acknowledge that there are men who are also sexually assaulted and abused in these types of discussions.

  • @PostgodAfterbirth Really, I'm a rapist? I did not know that.

  • meeting her is one of the two things on my bucket list :') but i find it hard to believe it will ever happen...

  • 19 rapists watched this video.

  • marry me shoshannah?

  • It's incredible how many of you morons are crying about the wording (which was accurate) instead of focusing on the message.
