CMETrust: Pamoja (Part 1)

The RFB produced this video for CMETrust in the summer of 2007. CMETrust (Canada Mathare Education Trust Fund) is a Canadian charitable organization dedicated to providing secondary school scholarships to students in Mathare Slum, Nairobi, Kenya. CMETrust's Canadian Committee works in close collaboration with the teachers and community leaders of the Mathare Committee to ensure funds are dispensed responsibly and are directed where they are most needed.

What is the value of promoting education in Kenya? By giving students an opportunity to attend boarding schools outside of the slum environment, CMETrust offers a new generation of Kenyans the unique chance to measure their own experiences against those of others.

Please join us at the annual "Hearts for Smarts" fundraiser in Toronto, 30 Jan. 2008, 7:30-11:00 PM at the Oasis Spa in the Distillery District, 36-55 Mill Street. African Guitar Summit member Adam Solomon and his band Tikisa will be there, and so should you!
